Are you looking for a change? We are looking for our next team member. Our clinic has established a fantastic reputation as the go-to practice for GP’s in our area. Due to high demand, we would love to welcome some wonderful, new team members. City Psychology is a niche private practice with mostly private referrals. You will have the flexibility to choose your own days of work and referrals. Would you like to work with clients you enjoy and establish an energising client load? We support your career with monthly peer support and additional peer discussions as needed.
At the moment we have options to expand and would love to find a person who is perfect for our practice. There is an overflow of referrals in the adolescent age range, primary school age range and adult referrals. If you and your passion aligns with any of these, please reach out to us for more information.

Our support-admin team is a blessing, they make our days smooth and are very much on top of everything. So what would your space look like? We have three different rooms available.
We love our space; we value having a calm and modern place to work within. Every day we enjoy the plants and gardens outside that are visible from our rooms and waiting areas. We are located in South Townsville on the end of Palmer Street. We are near the water with yatchs nearby and the Palmer Street restaurant strip. Our entrance is tucked around the corner on Morehead Street, a quiet road with plenty of free parking.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Current AHPRA registration
- Eligibility for Medicare registration
- Proven experience self-managing case notes, referrals and report writing
- Excellent communication and rapport building
- Ability to work autonomously
- A genuine interest in the well-being of patients and working with a diverse caseload
- Dedicated and passionate about ongoing professional / personal development
ROOM HIRE
We have two beautifully appointed clinic rooms and two purpose-built play therapy rooms available for hire on Saturdays—perfect for practitioners with their own clients who value autonomy.
You may choose between full administrative support or a self-managed admin option, depending on your preference. If you would like us to market your services, allocate our overflow of referrals, and guide you on your journey into private practice, a flat rate is offered per appointment, with full administrative support included—so you can focus solely on your clinical work.
Play Therapy Rooms
We have an inspiring play therapy and children's room. Suitable for a child psychologist who sees client early childhood or primary school age clients. Also suitable for teenage clients, speech therapists, family therapists, psychiatrists or paediatricians. Available on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
A second play therapy room is available on Saturdays.
Consulting Room A
Our large consulting room, suitable for family, couples therapy, teenage consults, speech therapists, family therapists, psychiatrists or paediatricians.. Available on Wednesdays and Saturdays. This room is also available for one-off hire by visiting medical consultants.
Consulting Room B
Our large consulting room, suitable for family, couples therapy or teenage consults. Available on Saturdays. This room is also available for one-off hire by visiting medical consultants.
Consulting Room C
Our medium consulting room, suitable for one on one sessions with adults or teenagers, or for family or couples therapy . Available on Saturdays. This room is also available for one-off hire by visiting medical consultants.
